No trip is complete with out exploring one of Utahs most prominent landmarks, the Capitol building. Visitors can take guided tours of the Capitol, which include visits to the building's historic chambers, such as the House of Representatives and the Senate. The Capitol also houses a variety of art and historical exhibits, In addition to its architectural and artistic treasures, the Capitol Building also offers stunning views of Salt Lake City and the surrounding Wasatch Mountains. The building's expansive grounds feature beautifully landscaped gardens and a variety of monuments.
The Gate Way ❤️🏠
The Gateway is a premier shopping and entertainment destination located in the heart of Salt Lake City. The center offers a unique and dynamic experience with a blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Visitors can explore a variety of shops featuring local and national brands, dine at a range of restaurants, and enjoy a variety of entertainment options, including a movie theater and virtual reality experiences. For the most part this area is pretty cool, however we did encounter some people who were quite aggressive. Possible drug addcits, homeless, and people with mental issues.

The Mountain America Expo Center is a premier event venue located in Sandy, Utah.The Mountain America Expo Center is conveniently located just minutes away from downtown Salt Lake City. I got lucky, I was visiting when there was a gluten free expo….That was a godsend.
Union Station ❤️🏠
Union Station is a historic railway station located in Ogden, that has been converted into a museum and cultural center. The station was originally built in 1924 and served as a hub for railway transportation in the region for many years. Today, visitors can explore the station's rich history and see a variety of exhibits, including vintage train cars, historic photographs, and interactive displays. The museum also hosts a variety of events and educational programs throughout the year, making it a great destination for visitors of all ages. With its unique blend of history, culture, and entertainment, Union Station Ogden is a must-see destination for anyone visiting the area.
The downtown area of Ogden is also nice with lots of horse statues with various art over them and cool looking architecture.
Antelope Island State Park ❤️🏠📸🚗⭐

One of the highlights of the park is the annual bison roundup, which takes place each fall and allows visitors to witness the park's iconic bison herd being rounded up and checked by park staff. Antelope Island State Park is a unique and beautiful destination that offers visitors a chance to explore the stunning natural beauty and wildlife of Utah, and it is a must-visit for anyone interested in the great outdoors.
I had a great time here seeing pronghorn antelope and bison at close distance. I was there during a drought, so it seemed that the water levels have receded.
Great Salt Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve ❤️🏠📸🚗

This was a very relaxed spot that my dad and I explored. It was mellow and easy.

I enjoyed my first drift event here and while I know nothing about drifting, I had a great time photographing and walking around and interacting with everything.

Bonneville Salt Flats ❤️🏠📸🚗⭐
The Bonneville Salt Flats is a stunning natural wonder located in northwestern Utah just about 1 and a half hours from Salt lake city heading west.. This expansive salt pan covers over 30,000 acres and offers a unique and otherworldly landscape that is unlike anything else in the world. Visitors to the flats can explore the salt pan on foot or by vehicle, and many visitors come to witness the famous land-speed races that take place on the flats each year. The flats are also a popular destination for photography, stargazing, and nature appreciation.
You can get your car stuck out here. My father and brother in law had this happen to them and lucikly there are people you can call to help! Use this website.

There is parking nearby so its a super easy and quick walk to the falls.
Donut Falls ❤️🏠📸🚗⭐
Also located in Cottonwood Canyon, Donut Falls is a unique waterfall that gets its name from the circular hole in the rock that the water flows through, resembling a giant donut. Visitors to Donut Falls can hike along the scenic trail that winds through the canyon and leads to the base of the falls. The waterfall cascades over the rocky cliff and into a pool below, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere that is perfect for nature lovers and photographers. The area surrounding Donut Falls is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, elk, and moose, making it a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts. To reach the falls is pretty scary, at least for me. Climbing up and over wet rocks is not something I find fun, but it was worth it.

This little detour I missed going to bear lake, I thought I saw a cave and decided to remember this spot on the way back. Theres a turn out very close by and I really wanted to check this place out. It was not a cave, but a spring called Ricks Spring. Its a beautiful little spring on the side of the road with information detailing the history of this place. You should check it out! It'ss quick, short and beautiful.

A little more than a 2 hour drive north and a bit east you'll reach Bear Lake.
