This was my first video ever of Taiwan. It was after my 1st year of living in Taiwan. By this time I wasn't enamored with Taiwan, but there was still a lot of it for me to explore so I was hopeful it would get better. I met a Taiwanese woman named Fiona, and she planned this road trip around the country before she moved to Australia. I was really sad she left, because she was one of the real cool ones! At least I got to experience this trip with her.

This video marks areas I went to on this loop around Taiwan. It was a great experience! Locations are at the end of the video. This video only has music. I hope you enjoy!
This is my 2nd year in Taiwan, where I went to the Taichung Lantern Festival. By this time, I realized Taiwan wasn't for me, but I was stuck here for a bit. I got heavily into photography and got a gimble and started learning how to make videos on my own. As you can see, the skill level isn't great, but it was a start and it kept me busy. I do interview a woman about the festival, but the sound has a very bad echo. I would skip that part. It's at the end. I hope you enjoy!
The Cave Man Diaries came about because I was pissed off about Covid and pissed off about living in Taiwan. I didn't like the fact that people here didn't like me, so I decided to grow my hair and beard and look like a cave man to actually give the people a reason to fear me. I was bitter about not being able to travel abroad. I just got off work and had the summer off. That Friday evening, I came up with an idea! I would pack my clothes and all my gear: camera, gimble, drone, and scuba diving stuff and head out. I would flip a coin to decide if I would go north or south. South it was and I drove all around the island yet again, but this time I had a lot more time to explore. This was before I knew about pinning locations on Google Maps. I like chasing waterfalls, so I decided to make waterfalls a major theme for this journey. I would research various waterfalls and hit them, all the while exploring anything that caught my interest. This was a very therapeutic trip for me as it allowed me to get out of Taichung and not have to deal with assholes as well as practice my droning and video skills. It was a lonely trip, but it proved to be very fruitful, and I discovered a lot of places in the process! My desire to record what I saw alleviated my feelings of loneliness and kept me very occupied. This is a 9-part series, however the later ones become insanely shorter, as the 3 people who watched them, told me they were too long. I hope you can handle it. ;0
